This form certifies the completion of a divorce case filed in the State of Washington. To be valid, the form must be signed by the Judge during the divorcing couple’s final court hearing.
Filing this petition with the county court clerk’s office begins the divorce process in the State of Washington. Form must be accompanied by the Civil Cover Sheet when filed.
This form must accompany any divorce papers filed within the State of Washington. Through this cover sheet, the court will immediately identify the type of civil case filed by the applicant.
Through the information reflected in the form, both spouses will become aware of each other’s financial situation. Moreover, the information will become the court’s basis for determining the spouse who will be obliged to pay for the alimony and child support.
