About the Corporation Division	Th  e Corporation Division of Secretary of the 
Commonwealth William Francis Galvin’s Offi  ce is 
the repository for certain records of approximately 
two hundred and seventy-fi ve thousand business 
and nonprofi t corporations and approximately 
sixty thousand limited liability entities organized 
or registered to do business in the Commonwealth. 
In addition, the Corporation Division maintains 
records for limited partnerships and business 
trusts. Limited liability companies, limited liability 
partnerships, service marks, trademarks, and 
uniform commercial code (UCC) fi lings are also 
made with the Corporation Division.
Corporate Documents are fi led between the hours 
of 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Corporate Certifi cates are issued between the hours 
of 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Many of these entity records and fi lings may be 
viewed by the public as images in the corporate 
database. Th  ose entity records and fi lings received 
prior to August 2001 were microfi lmed or fi ched 
and are available for public inspection from 8:45 
a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All 
records of uniform commercial code fi lings may be viewed by the public as images in the UCC 
database. Th ose fi lings received prior to February 
2001 were microfi lmed or fi ched and are available 
for public inspection from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 
Monday through Friday in the UCC Division.
